READ ABOUT HUMAN RIGHTS ART. ONE
“Human Rights Article One” is a short film created in collaboration with Amnesty International. It is devoted to the first article of the European Convention on Human Rights: the obligation to respect human rights. The initial image is a tribute to the 1970 “ropeman” campaign image of Amnesty International. The untying of the restraints and the simultaneous appearance of the writing convey the message that human rights give all of us freedom. The symbolic language of the images and the sound is aimed at getting under the viewer’s skin in order to emphasise everyone’s personal dependency on human rights and freedom.
